Coventry University is a public university based in Coventry, England. The university was founded by the city council of Coventry and Warwickshire in 1965 as a polytechnic institute, with the first students enrolling in September 1966. In 1992 it became a full university and renamed itself to Coventry University. It has four campuses: two main sites at the city centre (the main campus) and one each at Warwick (the Warwick Campus) and Nuneaton (the Nuneaton Campus). The university is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and has links with several other universities in Europe. The university awards bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctoral degrees through its School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS), School of Education (SEED) and School of Science (SSC). The university also offers a range of postgraduate taught programmes including MScs in Business Administration, International Relations, Psychology & Counselling Studies as well as PhDs. It has more than 1,000 students from over 100 countries across all four campuses. In 2012 Coventry University was ranked by "The Guardian" newspaper within the top 20 universities in Britain for graduate employability. In 2013 it was ranked 19th out of 132 UK institutions for overall student satisfaction based on responses to the National Student Survey.In 2014 it was ranked 11th out of 133 UK institutions for overall student satisfaction, again based on NSS data. In 2015 it was ranked 18th out of 134 UK institutions for overall student satisfaction, again based on NSS data. In 2016 it was ranked 12th out of 135 UK institutions for overall student satisfaction, again based on NSS data.
